Enjoyable read but didn't feel particularly original. Felt like a mashup of a bunch of other fantasy books I've already read. Plot twists were meh, I saw most of them coming from the beginning. Even the ones that I didn't expect weren't shocking. Idk why this book is so hype. Also can authors plz stop with these terrible MMC names??

The last three chapters are actually INSANE. I hadn’t felt that stressed since reading some of the TOG book series 😭😭
What an incredible first book of this world and I can not WAIT for the rest of this series of monsters and love 😭
The slow burn. Enemies to lovers. Think of this as The Witcher meets elements of Throne of Glass?? The audiobook was so well done and I adored the narrator, Samantha Brentmoor. Excellent storytelling overall
