A slowburn (and I mean angsty, tensions building until explosion slow) romantasy complete with a misunderstand, outcast Princess who is thrown into a politically (strategically?) arranged marriage before taking off on an epic quest that leads to her being captured by a morally gray love of her life. The world building in this novel was top notch- I had dreams of the towns the author built through her words. I must add  that I listened to the audiobook version which I loved, but some people say the hardback reads as whiney. I personally loved feeling as if I was in the main characters mind.
