A lot better than the first one, although the whole time I was aching for more time with Krishna and Yaksha, or stories of the past like with Harold. Those were the times the book was really interesting, and the pages turned fast. The YA romance/action thing doesn't work well here, it was stale and I was rolling my eyes at how emotional and naive a 5,000 year old vampire was being. The relationships weren't nearly enough fleshed out to get a reaction out of me, and I love romance stories, so it's not like it wasn't the right genre for me.
