Barbie Princess Academy meets Wattpad; The FMC was taken in by the multimillionaire Callum Royal, after he found out that she was the daughter of his late best friend.

!Spoilers!

And somehow, she managed to have chemistry not only with his five sons, but him too. Honestly, the book would’ve been way less headache-inducing, if Callum and the FMC Ella just got together. If I was her, I would’ve instantly fallen for him.

But of course, she was instantly attracted by the most mysterious and powerful one of his sons, Reed.

Reed Royal is a walking red flag at first, but somehow still manages to catch our FMCs eye.

Every time she contemplated about leaving with the money her dad’s best friend, Callum, gave her, I wanted to scream “DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND RUN AWAY“.

And I have immense respect for her! She survived things that a normal human being shouldn’t have to endure, but still somehow everyone at her new school seemed to hate and bully her.

Almost everyone, except her new found best friend Val. She was one of the only likable characters in this book.

But if the competition consists of horny males or girls who are Regina George in person, that's not difficult either.

AND THE ENDING???

Reed Royal, you’re my personal headache.

WHAT A CLIFFHANGER!

With her running away at the end of the book, I’m really keen to know how the author wants to get everything back to normal.

So, good 3 stars from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ( would’ve been 4 or up if she just got with the dads best friend)

This book is a guilty pleasure. It's full of clichés and it made me cringe from time to time. However 18 year old me still enjoyed it a lot that I read the following 2 books as well.

3.5 stars.

Holy pancakes! I HATED this story in the beginning as it's chock-full of clichés and typical literary devices for this genre (which means that I eyerolled the shit out of it). But I pushed through and somehow ended up enjoying it (despite the eyeroll-worthy bits) devouring it in one night.

Suffice to say that I need book 2 right.frickin.now.

What is sleep when you desperately need to know what happens next?

when reading a romance book, it is so blatantly obvious whether it is written by elle kennedy. while reading through this novel, i kept wondering, "why am i not enjoying this?" and so i looked up the true identity of erin watt, only to discover elle kennedy's name. i've come to realize that elle kennedy's writing does not satisfy me. it radiates wattpad fanfiction, and not in the entertaining, nostalgic way. a great example of this would be when ella and reed were having a conversation involving comparing reed to aladdin because his member was "magical" and he was going to "take her on a magic carpet ride". yes... this was really in there. this book was NOT what i was expecting at all and that was a huge disappointment for me. two stars for the revenge subplot though.
