Nietzsche, in his annus horribilis, laying the axe at the root of morality; the master-slave relation, decadence, the will to power, the inversion of values by Christianity and his ultimate bid of a transvaluation of values; Ecce Homo never fails in kickstarting a critical rethinking of all the convictions you hold dear.

This is the first book from Nietzsche that I've read and I think it's a good place to start because the author himself gives a retrospective of his former books.
However it is not an easy reading. The style is very different from other philosophers. In order to really appreciate it, I have the feeling that one must read other Nietzsche's books first and then come back to this one.
