I didn’t expect to love this based on the tropes but I loved it so, so, so much!

I throughly enjoyed this book, only took me two days to finish. However, I could rate it higher because some of the plot lines were too unrealistic for me to connect with.

There are great moments in the book that made me want to rate it 4.75. It’s not without it’s flaws but it’s still a great story.

I was a little scared that the book would be ‘heavier’ than others in the series from the content warning at the start of the book. But thankfully there wasn’t an excessive focus on the losses.

Less half a star for this spoiler:
surprise pregnancy/pregnancy in epilogue
. Otherwise it was a very good read. Fast-ish pace like I like and quite a bit of smut. It is a kink book, so mind your TWs. One of the more tame books in the series so far, least amount of drama.

Ronan Daddy! Silver fox! Best qualities in a man! He was everything and calling him Daddy was a huge turn on! The huge age gap (35 years !!!!!) was the sexiest element in the book and I could not love more about being taken care of by an older man (especially a billionaire.) so happy that he got the chance to be a father again. I felt like he was going to have more kids with Daisy according to his inner thoughts showing in his epilogue and kink in pregnant woman (pregnant Daisy I mean). Just sad that we only got to see a little of the people from previous Salacious books. A few sentences on Emerson, Garrett and Mia. I would love to see other guys as well :(

Heat: 🔥🔥🔥

After her mother’s death Daisy is determined to figure out why an elusive billionaire left her a trust with a million dollars in it. Having tracked him to the Salacious Players club, she’s still trying to gather information when she ends up auctioned for a hundred thousand dollars. After a week in Paris with the very billionaire she’s supposed to be questioning, Daisy is left wondering if she’s after answers or love.

This is a lightly kinky, age-gap romance with some pretty great spice. The spice in this series always delivers, if that is your sort of thing. This book was good. Honestly, I wish it was just a little less cheesy and insta-lovey. Obviously it’s romance, so it’s not totally avoidable, but the two leads are saying “I love you” after only a few days. It would be more understandable if they were both younger, but the male lead is in his 50s, which is probably the least believable part of this book.

Fun quick read for the spice, but didn’t quit deliver on the romance for me.

3.5/5 stars
