like wtf. it's not that it is that horrible as much as it is painfully not good at all. no depth no scope, no nothing. not a waste of time cause it was the fastest paced wattpad story ever, but also a very silly thing to attempt to fill your time with. smut semi good, everything else disastrous

This is my first book by Cora Rose and I'm sure it won't be my last. I really enjoyed this, honestly! It's a bit OTT, a bit ridiculous, but a lot of fun. Most of the time, it felt like I was being swept up in a whirlwind. In a good way. Sssh, it makes sense in my head. I'm glad I finally read this.
Whit: ★ ★ ★ ★ . 2 5
Cora Rose (Unexpected, #1)
“Think it’s just a Whit thing. He’s it for me, you know.”
Tropes:
– Forced proximity
– Found family
– Grumpy/sunshine
This was such a sweet, lowish-angst, quick read that I devoured so fast. I absolutely adored goofy, playful, sweet Caleb and Whit had my heart until the 90% mark where the conflict came in... Though it took almost no time to resolve, I was appalled that Whit was even momentarily willing to risk what he had with Caleb for, like... Come on. And despite that, Caleb was still doing everything in his power to check in on Whit throughout it all. If this had been a lingering conflict throughout the book, I think it would have been very different but this was just... not great near the end. Both characters were amazing all the way up to that point but Caleb... he's the star.

awe i love these two 🥹 it started super fast but i kinda liked that. i liked these characters the most out of the group, but now im curious about the other books in the series, despite there being like 20 of them
If you told me this was a published fanfic, I wouldn’t be surprised. Also, Whit needs some serious therapy.
BAWLED MY FUCKING EYES OUT THAT LAST 20% of the book thank you very much. I saw it coming too. I warned my husband, I told him the waterworks were coming and to prepare himself. GOD THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. I love me a good Golden Retriever/Black Cat couple. And Caleb is just too precious for this world. And the way he just unknowingly broke down all of Whit’s walls. Omggg I ate this up like the snack this book is! Why the fudge did I wait so long to read this?!? SEM AND MAGS NEXT AND IM HERE FOR IT!!
Just kind of meh.
I had high hopes, but this whole story is kind of boring. I finished it but don't think I'd really recommend it.
