It lacked so much depth.
The story itself felt rushed from the second it began. It felt like I was reading from the middle instead than from the beginning; one minute they don’t like each and then BOOM they do.
And don’t get me started on the fact Whit was engaged for the entirety of the book and SOME HOW Caleb forgave him immediately. The amount of pain I went through because of their break up BOTH times I’ve read it just for them to get back together and it not being worth the I went through. There was no real grovelling from Whit, yeah, he suffered, for what a chapter, but he never really did much. I feel like Caleb liked Whit way more than Whit liked Caleb.
Also I felt like it had a potential to be something so good, I think that’s why I gave it a 3 stars when I first read it, but reading it again makes me realise everything it lacked. But I can’t say I didn’t find their relationship adorable because I did, their affection was so cute.

4.5 I can't keep my hands off this book, stars.
Is this really the author's debut novel? Yes, it is, and wow, I am still speechless a week later. I first saw this book in one of my favorite MM author's stories and had to read this book.
Whit and Caleb are college roommates. Whit is grumpy and keeps people at arm's length. Caleb is sunshine, caring and straight. However, Caleb questions his attraction to Whit, and Whit has a dark secret. After an event, the dynamics between the two change.
Whit is A comical, steamy, emotional, and heart-wrenching book. Side note Caleb's family will make you laugh a time ot two.
A little warning when reading this book, make sure to take care of all your responsibilities ahead of time. Whit is addicting and refreshing. I couldn't put the book down. These two stole my heart. They’re so freaking cute together and oh so steamy. I can't forget that.
I hope Sem and Magnus have a book of their own. I can't thank Baily Nicole enough for putting this book under my radar. As I am typing this review; I now want to reread

idk, I felt like I really wanted to see more of Whit’s pov and the inside of his drama. But I am a sucker for a easy bi-awakening, so I enjoyed it overall.

This was a nice little popcorn book, and it is great for what it is. It's entertaining, the characters are fun and I had a good time reading it.
I will say that the events do keel kind of disjointed and fast. The romance accelerates at a ridiculous rate due to ridiculous circumstances. Events just happened out of nowhere, and there weren't consistent pov changes, I thought the whole thing was going to be in Caleb's pov when it just randomly switched. Also the whole straight-thing was....I don't know....silly? The "only gay for you" thing isn't for me and how this guy that is convinced he's straight really accepts this sexuality revelation easy which was nice but it also just made the insistence that he was straight feel really silly and unnecessary and maybe if there was more build up I would have bought it but this story jumps in and never stops.
but despite the glaring problems this was just good fun. I liked it a lot amd am continuing the series

I did enjoy the story thoroughly, however weird grammatical issues had me hot and bothered at times (whole words missing from a sentence! Ack!), and certain events/topics felt too short and skimmed over. Their trip to Caleb's home and riding around in a truck/on ATV's were longer and more indepth than when Caleb found out about Whit's past with self harm etc. and when he chose Caleb over money. Could have done with a little more push-pull.
Regardless, HIMBO meats the rich goth, cuteness ensues.
