This might be one of my favorites of this series. Damn. I feel like I say this every book ahahah

In this one we see a lot of character development. We get to know her roots and see how much her relationship with Adam has grown. I just love that she is the one to save herself. To save others. I love this series so much for it. It's just so awesome to see a strong female character who has feelings and stuff that people usually do :p

Also Coyote is the best.

I want you to know that I fought to get back to you. I didn’t take the easy way out. I didn’t give up. I fought this death because I had you waiting for me on the shore. If it had been possible to drag this puny mortal flesh back to you, I would have done it, if I had to crawl to do so. I would have walked through Hell to get back to you, and only failed because of the weakness of my body, not of my heart.

I have to hand it to her, Briggs can weave an interesting tale. And I love everything that has Coyote in it. That trickster has always been a favorite of mine. :)

Short and sweet, good installment. I'm glad we got more time with Adam and Mercy, and I even got a little bit of my boy Stefan.

Can't wait to see what happens next.

This is my least favorite book in the series. The story dragged and seemed farfetched. It's as if the author is running out of story ideas for Mercy. There's no authenticity anymore. Going to take a break from the series. If this book is any indication of what the remaining books are like I may just quit the series.

This book starts very sweet. Mercy and Adam finally get married and they are off on their honeymoon. Of course, once they are on their honeymoon, they figure out there is a river monster. I loved the story. I think this book took me too long to read because I just had too much going on at the same time. Great book. I think there were a few things that were left unanswered, but since this is not the last book in the series, I think I'm ok with that.

I liked this because we learn about Mercy’s background and story; however, the plot still wasn’t as good as previous books.
