Taylor is an author that I will continue to read even if the theme of the book isn’t something I typically would go for. I think she just does such a great job with character development that you want to follow along and see how everyone’s connections unfold and where they all end up. I thought this was a great ending and some good life lessons along the way.
I laughed. I teared up. I gasped. I loved. I loved it! It’s a bit out of my typical wheelhouse—I’m a thriller/crime girl but this was a gift to me, and I really enjoyed it. I really like her writing style and effort into the books. The characters felt well developed and thought out from start to finish. Highly recommend!
I enjoyed this book but found the blurb to be a little misleading. I didn’t think so much time would be spent learning about June and Mick’s past, as well as Nina’s past. I understand why it had to be done, but when part 2 started the entire vibe of the book shifted and it felt like a new book. I was getting super irritated with the constant hopping back and forth between time periods in Part 1. It felt like we had just returned to the present, a couple paragraphs occur, and then we go right back to the past. Besides that, I enjoyed the little side stories of what each character was doing at the party and this was a good read, other than being a little misguided in the first part.

I loved this book!!! Such as fun read. I really fell in love with Nina and the way she looked after her siblings. I just loved the siblings bond overall. The back and forth in the first half really kept me hooked. I think the second half was slightly chaotic, which I guess it was supposed to be because the party got out of hand. But I still did lose track of who was who in some parts. A nice summer read!
