How I managed to restrain myself and not read this until it was a complete book, I'll never know but boy am I glad I did. Flor is a heroine that you are rooting for as soon as she appears on the page. If a life of neglect, abuse and starvation can't bring this girl down, you just know she is destined for great things. Now I've read a few books where the female protagonist is the pack maid, but this is next level. Hunted every night for 4 years, she can pretty much outwit her entire pack and I adore her for it. The alphas that show themselves throughout this book are such a varied bunch. I honestly cannot wait for the grovelling from a couple of them. I imagine it wont be until the story is almost over, but its definitely coming.
I laughed out loud at several points and had a big smile for most of it. Yes some horrible things were happening but the humour and everything going over Flor's head were just so funny. I loved all the Southern sayings, so quirky and unique and so different (but also not really at all) of my own country's sayings.
I honestly dont know what is going to happen between Flor and the 5 Alphas that seem to be her mates. The tensions and chemistry between her and them is all so different.
Pack politics and tensions between the packs play a great deal here and I really enjoyed it. I cant wait to see what happens next.

This was an amazing start to a new series. I loved everything about it. Flor is such a bad-a, and I really feel for her. I hope only good things come her way cause the girl has dealt with enough trauma to last 3 lifetimes. Her mates seem great, but one of them definitely needs to rethink some things, and the other? I understand why he made the decision he did at the end, but I really hope that doesn’t last long. Also, WHAT is Joaquin? He just vanished and I need to know where he went and if he’s coming back. All in all, I need answers and I’m going to have trouble waiting until the next release!
