I like the idea of this book and the tropes (fated mates, rejected mates, pack politics, why choose) but there were too many inconsistencies and contradictions.

4.5 stars!

Listen, this would be a 5 star read if it wasn't for that cliffhanger! I did this to myself in all honesty so I gave the book the full stars but I need the second book like yesterday!

All the characters felt like they were just beginning to come together and I was loving it, I just need more. The world building was fast and concise and didn't drag at all. I read this book in two days and am eager for the rest of the series.

“You are not a show. You are one of the wonders of the world”

Merri, how long is this series going to be bc i need to know to know how long my heart is going to be hurting for Flor.

Flor is born into the worst pack/situation and she’s constantly fighting and just trying to survive. this first book in the series introduces so many characters but also builds a world where you’re like, “oh, there’s a lot more going on than anyone realizes” which makes me so curious about what is going to happen in the series and just who/how strong Flor really is.

this series is a slow burn and we’re introduced to a lot of different potential mates, and some i am already really liking, and others who i wanna punch in the face with how they’re acting. Flor has a lot of trauma to work through and also reveal to the other packs/her potential mates and i was glad that just bc she’s they’re potential fated mate, she wasn’t automatically making decisions based on that. so much angst in this book and the potential for great groveling in the series.

i am excited to see where this series goes.

Enjoyed the read but be warned it ends on a cliff. Very very slow burn but interesting to see where it goes and when it heats up.

When I saw Merri Bright was starting a new shifter romance series, I knew I had to pick this up. If you are a fan of Zodiac Academy, Patricia Briggs, or other paranormal shifter stories, you must pick these up. Do read the trigger warnings as there is some dark content but I was hooked on Flor's story from the very start. Compelling world, fast-paced drama, and a fierce, sympathetic heroine. I loved everything about this book.

Merri Bright has done it again as Pack Reject pulls me into a wild roller-coaster of emotions that left me eager for more. Flor is such a lovely FMC that he's been put through the ringer over and over again. Her resilience, strength, and overall ability to keep moving forward really resonated with me and made me love her storyline that much more. I'm really excited to see how Flor's character will transform as she begins to build solid relationships with the men who may just be her true mates. Bring on book two, sooner than later please!

This is my first time reading this author and I wasn't disappointed. I love the world that the author built. I do have some questions but I'm sure the answers will come in the next book, hopefully. I feel for Flor and the stuff she was/is going through. She is a very strong person to put up with the cruelty for so long. I am glad that she discovered her mates. Although I dislike the southern alpha heir for obvious reasons. I am still unsure about Joaquin. He just shows up and then disappears. I can't believe I am saying this but for a book with no sex in it, I was hooked. I really cannot wait to find out what happens next.
