This was… unexpectedly religious. Must be a missing chapter of the Bible I think

This reminded me a lot of the series I watched on Netflix called "Lucifer". It was an okay book. Fast, easy, but also forgettable.
Okay let me just state for the record that I have a new favorite author. Emma Castle's writing is so fun and light but knows exactly how to set the mood and give us those sexy times.
I was a little hesitant to read this book with Lucifer as your unconventional hero. Mostly because I have these hang ups with religion and I feel like I'm blaspheming somehow and go to hell and that's why I stay away from anything that has to do with religion, God, the devil, heaven and hell in general. That's one of the major reasons why I probably won't be reading the very popular The Four Horsemen series but I digress. I decided to give this a shot because I looooved Emma's Love In The Wild and wanted to read something else from her so I came across this. Now, I was expecting something extremely angsty and dark but I was blown away by how so not this was. We instead get a story full of charm and lightheartedness with a touch of wickedness which I really appreciated.
The only criticism I do have is that I wish is was longer. There was a twist at the end that I feel should have been explored more and there was so much potential there but I'm happy with how the book turned out. Lucien aka Lucifer was funny, charismatic, possessive and romantic. I felt the chemistry with Diana and I loved how she gave up the pretense of fighting him and just gave in to her desires. It made for some very steamy scenes. The characters were well rounded and I really hope that we see a few them again in other works especially when it comes to Amara and Jimiel. They were so precious but overall I really enjoyed this book and am happy that I checked it out.

I cried for a solid 5 minutes after finishing the book.
It was a HEA, but the ending was unexpected for me.
I didn't know where the story was going at that point and I was kinda worried about the end.
But Oh my god! It was so bittersweet.
There are some negative aspects too.
Like, the devil was portrayed very similar to the show "Lucifer."
The nightclub, the vulnerability around the FMC, etc.
But I'm a sucker for the Devil in love trope, so I devoured it!
