It was good but not as good as the Lost Starship series. However this wad the first book and maybe the next ones are better since this seemed more like a book for world building.

I enjoyed it for what it was. Sappy space opera. This is a take to the beach kind of read even though i read it in the winter. Its "get out of your head", sci fi nonsense that is just enjoyable.

Good book! You can just zip right through this one. Very action-packed. Probably not something I would reread as I don't feel like there is a ton of depth here (not necessarily a bad thing), but after reading the first book I'm sure it's going to be a surprisingly pleasant romp through this series.

What a utter waste of time ... Didn't get past the first chapter. It is some kind of parody (I hope) but written without grace or any originality.
The protagonist is a unlikable archetypical carbon copy of the 'murican myth of the underdog. All foreigners instantly acts as his sycophants, as appropriate when a true 'muricans comes around.
He is stupid, but then, everybody else is even more stupid...
And no time was wasted on reserach apparently.
I guess some inbred 'murican may find it amusing and perhaps some one else who is in for a easy laught and a can of beer.
