a good sci-fi read with romance…
I really enjoyed this storyline. Different alien species getting together to combat a common enemy. Then they meet human women. Yes, we’ve seen this instant attraction many times. This time takes a while to manifest and the sexy times are few, so this story is mostly sci-fi action. The romance is angsty and slow burn, but while he overarching fight with the Xathi is ongoing Vrehx and Jeneva do give us a satisfying sigh at the end.

Alien war. Alien invaders trying to destroy the planet and enslave everyone. Strong heroine who can kick some alien ass. Empath. A nice start to the series. I am excited to read the next one.

Decided to go out of my comfort zone and read some sci-fi/action romance. And this was exactly what I wanted. Nicely written, nice romance (even if it is one of the love-at-first-sight ones), decent amount of action as well.
