I like the suspense and journey of the book it was tense but the ending was too open it didn't understand what happened. If author just gave us some more clues it would be nice. The ending didn't concluded anything for that my reading experience just became dry and unsatisfied. But like the feeling throughout the whole book that something is wrong.

— BAM #2 —

Without previous knowledge regarding the book, the ratings after listening to stephanie’s BAM wasn’t surprising. To be honest, it was a really interesting concept. I have sooooo much predictions that when I heard the ending, I just thought to myself my version would be far better.

I just thought it’s a cheap thriller ending. You can’t just put an ending that’s unfinished and call it an “open ending”. Gosh, the author literally ended the story with nothing for the readers. It’s like, the buildup was so good and when we got to the last part, all of it were for nothing?

I really wish it had more sense in the end. More loose ends being mended and even if the author wouldn’t give us a definite ending, it would still be better than just giving the readers a freaking manuscript, moleskin journal, and a necklace. That means entirely nothing if you ask me.

I would feel bad about my rating if it were just me who thought of the book this way but I’m not alone. I just wish it could have had more, you know? No need for excessive mending and a perfect ending, just enough to keep the mystery going with satisfaction (please, can we stop with “this is life you don’t get a perfect ending” bullcrap because YES. THIS ISN’T LIFE. THIS IS A BOOK. AT LEAST GIVE US SOMETHING)

Anyways, too much of a rant. It’s just annoying

This selection from the Hush collection was pretty good.

Stalker, ex-boyfriend Will, is concerned because he hasn't seen Anisa in over a year. Sure she's posting on social media and seems happy with her new beau but is she really? He gets mutual friend Emily involved, and the story involves them going on a quest to find out what happened to Anisa. There's some additional flavor stuff involving a fairly recent suicide attempt and also from further in his past something with his sister.

The ending, wow, that almost came out of nowhere. I honestly wasn't expecting that. I had to rewind and listen to it twice because I didn't get all the nuances the first time. Happens when you listen to audiobooks while driving.

Very short story -- read in less than an hour. Interesting but in the end predictable. I guessed what happened early on. However, I was out of other novels at the moment and it worked to waste a little time while I was waiting so it did its job.
