Well well, I absolutely devoured this one! I've never read this author and happened to have it as a recommendation on KU, so since I'm on a holiday reading kick, I decided to check it out.

I absolutely loved this story! It has humor, humility, self-loathing, super sweet "unexpected" HEA, and it just roped me in. I love the revenge idea, and tbh, I'm kinda sad I didn't think of some of these things years ago after a nasty break up, but the past is the past...

A cute holiday read with plenty of hot romance and I'm already wanting to read more just like it! 4.75 for sure!

please know this review is about to be ABSOLUTELY incoherant
because my love for this book is too big for me to make any sense whatsoever

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH damien is so good please this book was NEEDED
ok so something i loved about this book was that abby was pink. and blonde. and feminine. and so smart. and she was so used to being mistreated and being basically told she needed to "dim herself down"
at the beginning of this book, shes getting out of an awful relationship with a man who forced her to make herself smaller, and less colorful and sparkly and fun. and when she finds him cheating, she jumps back to her true pink and bright and amazing self. and shes like "im gonna bang his boss for revenge" (which i mean, not my first thought, but real as hell)

enter DAMIEN MARTIENEZZZZZ
this man is so big and manly and perfect and he not only loves her for her true self but encourages it and helps her recover from that crappy relationship by just generally being perfect and its just so amazing

in a world of "im not like other girls" culture, we need books like this. where its okay for that character to be feminine without it making her ditzy, over sexualized, or mean.
and it also didnt use her femininity to put down women who werent feminine like her. which i LOVE. because the whole point of feminism is that women can all be different and theyre ALL valid. yk???? UGH I NEED A DAMIEN THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD

this was my first morgan elizabeth book and i kid you not, it set me on a binge. i have now read and loved literally every book she has written
if morgan elizabeth has 1 fan it is me. if the world is against morgan elizabeth than i am against the world. if morgan elizabeth has no fans i am dead.

Lets not be 30 years old playing pranks on people with real human emotions.
The spice was enjoyable.
I seem to be missing the hype that everyone else has with this book :(

Definitely one of the best holiday rom-coms: clean-cut plot, cute romance, swoon-worthy love interest, and wonderfully festive New York City backdrop. It's doesn't pretend to be anything more than it is, and it's really satisfying/cozy to read. "Tis the Season for Revenge very much an Elle Woods-core romance, the main character very pink and bubbly and adorable, while the love interest is a really nice person (no toxicity). The revenge plot was mildly juvenile, but not too unbelievable, and the spicy scenes are good! A quick but satisfyingly cute holiday romance, definitely recommended!

I really loved this book. It was such a fun holiday read!

I loved Damien as the love interest because he was so sweet, HOT, and very mature about everything (well he is 42 so thank god he can handle things maturely).

I loved reading about a NYC winter romance with a hot lawyer love interest who worshipped the ground that the MC walked on and treated her right. After everything Abbie had been through she deserved it.

The only reason this book doesn’t get 5 stars from us is because I absolutely hate plots where the relationship starts out as a trick, plot, or whatever you want to call it. The MC never tells the love interest when they should and those situations stress me out so much. But other than that it was a wonderful holiday book to read.

PS: Can some hot lawyer invite me and my friends to their box at MSG for a concert??? Why don’t those things happen to me?

This is my motivation to get back on hinge.

Started my holiday season reading off with this fun romcom and it did not disappoint!

I absolutely love the mental health representation, how she understands the damage her verbally abusive ex did to her and how hard she works to become herself again.

There is nothing more attractive in a partner than someone who pushes you to be exactly who you are, and celebrates it.

I absolutely adore Damien’s mindset on partners being equal in a relationship and how important Abbie is as his equal.

Also absolutely obsessed with how obsessed he is with her
