This one started strong for me but kind of faltered and the pacing was off. It's a good story but not sure it's my favorite realistic fiction this year. Themes of anxiety, mental illness, bullying, identity, complicated parents. I loved the main characters, thirteen year old Brian and Ezra, and the journey both of them are on.

Cute book, hit weirdly close to home with brian's whole storyline. But I think it was handled in a really caring and respectful way.

This was a moving middle grade novel where the two protagonists were facing tough circumstances and each one learns that they don't have to deal with things all by themselves because they can count on friends to lighten their load.
