This book was a lot sadder than the first, but surprisingly I didn’t cry once. I’m not crazy about using COVID in books but I guess we’ll be seeing that more and more as the years go by.

Because I absolutely adored the first Coyote Sunrise, I was thrilled and super excited for her sequel. It didn't disappointed. Coyote teaches us so many fabulous lessons once again. Highly recommend both books.

The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise is my favorite children’s book, which, for someone like me, who loves reading and especially loves kid lit, is a big deal. I’ve been putting reading this sequel off for a while because I was afraid it wouldn’t live up to the beauty and heart of the first book, but I had nothing to worry about. Within the first few pages, it immediately picked right back up with Coyote’s one-of-a-kind voice, and I was all in. This is one sequel that DEFINITELY lives up to the original.

I loved it. I loved it. I loved it. I loved it.

It’s 12:45 am and I just finished reading this book. I am in love. This is every bit as astonishing, emotional, and amazing as the first one. It really was touching that both of our first years of public school (non homeschool) were interrupted by covid. This book was released just as Coyote would’ve graduated high school. This book was much needed for me as I prepare for my future, which is dangerously looming over me. Thank you so much Dan Gemeinhart!

I feel disconnected from reality, ‘cause I always tear up for Dan’s books, but never cry in real life.

Anyways, what an awesome book!

Another hit! It kept me entertained and provided lots of laughs. Can’t wait to buy it for my school library.

The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise is a book I think about often and fondly. So, when given the chance to dive back into Coyote and Rodeo’s world, I couldn’t have been happier. From the very first page, the words of Dan Gemeinhart are absolutely beautiful and draw you in to the experiences and emotions. I read a little at a time over several days so that I could savor this one. The cast of characters are easy to care about, relate to and learn from. It feels like a privilege to be a part of their stories and to go along for the ride. Both books have a special place in my reading journey and I know that will be true for many more readers to come.

(and yes, there were tears and all the feels!)
