Coyote Lost and Found by @dangemeinhart is a remarkable sequel. Once again, I got to board Yager for a heartfelt journey crisscrossing the country with Rodeo and Coyote. Their unique voices shine in this story of love, loss, friendship, forgiveness, and gratitude. I know my students will clamor to read this. Thank you @NetGalley for the ARC.

I love the character of Coyote and and the relationship she has with her father, Rodeo. I think some of my students are going to love this duo as much as (or possibly more than) they loved them in the first book. There was no jumping of the shark with this follow-up to The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise.

I love, love, LOVED the first Coyote book and this one was just as great. Coyote Sunrise is one of my most favorite characters, she has the biggest heart and the best wit (for a 13 year old). Wally and Doreen were the right people to join the pod. My 3 answers: The Remarkabke Journey of Coyote Sunrise (seriously), Camping on Whidbey Island, & PB& strawberry J. Book #21 in 2024

“Sometimes stories start with a bang, and sometimes stories start with a whisper, and sometimes stories start with a robbery or a car chase or a fistfight or someone being born or someone dying. Sometimes stories start with a kitten. I mean, the funny thing about stories is that they don’t really start or stop at all. It’s just the telling that starts or stops.” COYOTE LOST AND FOUND

With those opening words I knew I was going to love the sequel to The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise. And oh how I loved it. And that cover. And spending time with characters both familiar and new.

The writing made me feel like I was grieving and growing with them. I wasn’t 20 pages in before I was grabbing book darts to mark passages. I had a seat on that bus alongside this cast of characters old and new that left a lasting mark on my heart.

There was a time or two when my eyes got a bit misty and I exhaled a big sigh. There were absolutely moments near the end when I cried big, fat, heavy tears. It was So.GOOD!

I recommend this to kids and adults alike. It’s a story that will give you “all the feelings”

Ah! What a great follow up to the first book! I love Mary Oliver’s poems too and this makes me want to find Red Bird. Coyote reminds me of my daughter which is probably why she loves these books so much. Especially how when someone compliments her she replies “obviously” ;-)

How lucky are we to have another Coyote Sunrise book?!?!

This one is for the fans! Can a sequel be just as good as the first!!!?? Yes… if it’s done by Dan Gemeinhart. If you have not read The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise this is your sign!!! Pick it up!!!

Another bus/cross country adventure with Rodeo & Coyote plus someone familiar and a few newbies you will fall in love with! This book has purpose… which I went into not knowing anything and

Not at all surprised to love this story just as much as the first. Enough back story given it could be read alone, but best suited as a follow up to The Remarkable Journey of Coyote Sunrise. To be surrounded by new and not-so-new-anymore friends who lead and guide from the heart, this story is one for all ages!

Rodeo, Coyote's Dad, is my pick for 'a book character I'd like to have a meal with' for the Expand Your Horizons 2024 task. From just striding through life, while being serious, emotions, whimsical, and full of Linus Van Pelt mic drop moments, to being honest and trustworthy, a free spirit and everything in between- he beats to his own drum and I want to be a part of that time of life joy.
