The premise of this story intriguied me at first but the undertones in the spice scene made me uncomfortable. I also have a feeling spice will be a large focus in this book and I just feel like this is just not for me personally. The writing was fine, I just have to listen to myself when my gut feeling tells me to not keep going.

Really enjoyed this story. The world building being centered around seasons was fascinating and I enjoyed that our FMC was a kitsune! I haven't read many stories with one so this proved to be a unique twist.
The book is fairly short and as such, I didn't feel like I really connected to any of the characters very much. There is worldbuilding and then there is spicy and the rest of it felt surface level. I'm not sure we have seen the true Mara yet. The MMCs stayed separate in my mind with the most emphasis on every prince but the one whose season was in the title so that is interesting. The prologue was good but I honestly wish it hadn't been there because it set a tone that the story didn't follow with.
I'd read book two. The writing style was easy to follow along even with all the worldbuilding which was great. Actual star rating 3.5/5

This book has everything that comes under the fantasy banner - with the spice that comes with having fated mates

I really enjoyed the first book in the Wyldthorn series! This paranormal MMFMM why choose was captivating from the get go and I loved the seasons and the elemental magic throughout. The MCs all draw you in in their own unique ways. I loved Tiernan’s cheekiness, Dorian’s charm, Dominic’s dominance and Forrest’s cool calm. Mara is a sassy bad ass who isn’t afraid to take a chance and see where it leads her and I love that about her. Can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series!

This was hands down the best why choose PNR fantasy book I’ve read. It has ACOTAR vibes but the writing is so good it stands out on its own. I honestly feel the need to reread it already to soak in the amazingness.

The FMC is soft but strong, she’s been thrown into a world of scion she knew nothing about but she soon discovers her inner power and it is dazzling. The characters are well written so you feel pulled in from the first moment you meet them and each guy has a very distinct personality.

I’m crap at reviews but good at recs. Just trust me and read this book immediately. You can thank me later.
