Really enjoyed this book and I think it fits the horror genre well. I was second guessing myself and really thought
she was crazy and needed major help. I do wish that the mental health family history was expanded upon a bit better, as well as how she was able to get messages outside of her home.

This book has many twists and turns, and I am so glad it twisted again at the end. I love the humor sprinkled in around the horror.

I think that without the ending of the book, I would have given this a 2.5, as none of it was ever scary until the final scenes. I also think that there was a very cheesy ending to the book, but I can appreciate how it tackled certain ideas and issues like mental illness and abuse. However, it didn't really feel like there actually was a lot of character development even in the crux of the story -- the development that seemingly occurred felt stiff and not really like an actual change in Margaret's thinking. I also felt that Katherine was written in a strange and unbelievable way, and Margaret's interactions with her were wonky ...
