What a great adventure
I'm finding that in love these comics more and more. They are so much depth to the story and anakin's journey. There is just so much that we didn't know, and how soon Palpatine started his gas lighting.

Taking place in the time period between The Phantom Menace and Attack of The Clones this is an adventure of Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan, Jedi in training, Anakin Skywalker.
Reacting to a distress call they land on the planet Carneliion IV to find themselves caught in a war between the Open and the Closed which is destroying the planet.
In between searching for who sent the distress message & trying to save lives we get flashbacks showing Senator Palpatine showing interest in Anakin's training and the beginnings of him taking the young Jedi under his wing, foreshadowing the turn to the Dark side.
It's all very well written with the characters being true to the versions we know from the films.
The art is fantastic, especially the scenes on Carnelion IV. There are panels and page spreads that are just stunning.
If it had been longer we could have had a bit more characterisation of the factions fighting on the planet but overall it is highly entertaining and a good look at the dynamic between Anakin and his Jedi master.

Really interesting to see more of Obi-Wan’s and Anakin’s relationship after The Phantom Menace and to see more of Anakin’s training at the Jedi Temple. Also thought it was really interesting that they added in Anakin’s wanting to leave the Jedi Order and his relationship with Palpatine.
Moderate: Kidnapping, Death, and Violence
Minor: Slavery

This was interesting, I loved seeing obi-wan and Anakin after phantom menace but the constant time jumps was a little confusing as I was reading until the ending where it all wrapped up nicely and punched me in my feels...this was still a good one especially if you love Anakin!
