Palpatine: I have a particular interest in this Padawan and I want you, his guardian, to interrupt his training and send him to my office (unsupervised of course) so he can come and perform some private tasks for me. Don't worry, it's not dangerous, so there is no reason a Jedi to accompany us. It will just be myself and this young child travelling to an undisclosed location.

Obi Wan: i am ostensibly one of the wisest jedi in the galaxy but apparently nothing about this seems strange to me so i will comply. have fun anakin!

Dull plot, but excellent art & fairly good writing.

This story explores Anakin and Obi-Wan on a mission after a distress call is sent to the Jedi. But the book is also full of flashbacks with Palpatine starting to tempt Anakin away from the Jedi. The premise was interesting and this is part of my massive Star Wars read through BUT this book was just boring. (Also it was an interesting choice to make Obi-Wan look so much like Jesus.

My Rating - 3.5 Stars

This story takes place three years after the events of The Phantom Menace. It is a simple five-volume tale of Obi-Wan and Anakin visiting a really cool world with warring factions in need of peace. The artwork is done really well and the interactions between Knight and Padawan are a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the final volume is somewhat lackluster. Nevertheless, a fun and quick read.

An interesting look at Anakin's training early on with Obi-Wan, as well as the impact both the Republic and force users have on the galaxy around them.

Full review to come.

I love this! I love them! I can't believe I waited this long! Soule really got to the heart of Obi-Wan and Anakin and wrote them perfectly. I love that we got to know them before everything went to shit, before they had the War to worry about. The art was really good too, and the conflict between the Open, Closed, and the Scavenger was really well thought it. It was a great story.
