Quite a positive approach in regard to a lot of difficult issues like climate change, biodiversity loss, pollution, waste, etc. A lot of examples of people doing amazing things.
As COP28 finished with an agreement that should've already been on the table years ago, we are lagging quite a lot - however, keeping up with the positive take of the book - IF we start doing it, we should be able to do it.

Probably better for people coming to the subject with little or no prior knowledge. I found it overly optimistic at times and am more pessimistic having read similar books years ago wuth calls to action yet here we are, facing even greater challenges now.

Reading this gave me so much hope into the future of the world. There are people out there that are working towards a sustainable future and there is progress being made. The book is separated by topics and includes statistics (past, present and predictions), the innovative ideas/businesses focused on that area and success stories. At the end there's a little bit on what we can do as individuals which isn't forceful but shares the idea that we do have power through what we demand politically, economically, socially and environmentally. A great, inspiring, up-to-date insight that leaves you feeling optimistic that we can make a positive change this decade.

I thought it was interesting, I learnt some new ideas and it was good to read about multiple things people were actually doing rather than doom and gloom which can be very heavy for me. It read quite smoothly and quickly. Am I still pessimistic about the world and the people? Absolutely. But all I can do is keep trying.
