A really fast read. After the last book, I wasn’t sure in which direction the author was going to take the series. I liked a lot of the new storylines... especially the new one that popped up right at the end!

I really thought the mystery was over after book 8 but this one has even more mysteries! This series is about Carlotta, whose parents left her with her 9 year old brother to raise 10 years ago. In book 8, her parents are back.
In this book, Carlotta's friend Hannah does roller derby and the mini-mystery is about the roller derby team.
However, everything happening around the mystery is crazy! Her mother gets a diagnosis, her father's secret appointments are explained, and the Liz story has another twist and turn. And not only does Carlotta get farther away from one more of her beaux, but she gets yet another giant mystery to finish up the series!
This series is fun, a lot like the Janet Evanovich One for the ... series, but sooo much better. The characters are lovable, the world is fun and the mysteries are compelling. Wow.

Roller derby, murder, a bratty sister, & their parents appearing after years. Carlotta & Wesley are trying to hold it all together. Delving deeper into family dynamics after being apart for 10 yrs & mom's dementia getting worse the family is in uproar. Carlotta still juggling 3 men & Wes trying to patch up with Meg.

Loved this book! Yeah for another amazing book in this series! Loved the mystery, loved the updates in their worlds, espcially after the events of the previous book! So great to read, I really enjoyed it!
