Losing It by Cora Carmack

I tried branching out a bit and listening to something a little different, but I can't exactly say that I was super impressed. This felt like a young adult novel with just a tiny bit more sex in it. It wasn't bad, but it didn't really include anything ground breaking or that interesting. The main characters were likeable, but ultimately forgettable, and the plot had zero originality. I'm sure someone could breeze through this in a few hours as light entertainment and get exactly what they wanted from it. I see there are two more books in the series, and though I didn't hate it, I don't see myself reading any further.

2.75 stars.

This was honestly full of hits and misses. There were scenes that were so clichè that I wanted to skip it altogether.

I don’t mind insta-love as much as others do, but I don’t always enjoy it. I wouldn’t have minded the instalove in Losing It if it wasn’t written in misinterpretation of lust and love. Everything about Bliss felt desperate when she described how much she wanted Mr. Taylor.

I listened to this right after listening to Helen Hoang’s The Kiss Quotient, which was not the best idea to do. I was so hung up with The Kiss Quotient that I wanted to read something “similar”, however, the sexual desires and descriptions of the act itself felt too figuratively written for a contemporary book. It was too flowery to the point that it didn’t seem proper. So far, I’ve encountered the best storytelling from Helen Hoang.

Will definitely read Faking It, cause even if this didn’t make it higher than 3 stars, I still enjoyed it because again — Guilty Pleasure read.

Was already not feeling it. The friends felt like they just met one another. This man sounds unreal...he reads Shakespeare at the bar, rides a motorcycle, has rock hard abs and is a theatre professor. Yeah, okay Jan. I also don't need another fucking book about a virgin losing her virginity ughhh. Burn these books 😆

for me

I loved this book. I fell in love with the two main character they were amazing. I wasn’t a fan of the girl best friend but whatever. The MC and Garreck were so cute. I wish we got to see him propose at the end but I’m assuming it will be mentioned in the other books but still I’m sad. I loved this book and would recommend it to others. It was short and sweet. 4/5

This book was hilarious. I am suffering book hangover (thanks to Artemis) and I was not able to read any fantasy books which is the genre I usually prefer so I decided to switch to contemporary novel just to get over it and it is effective. Garrick and Bliss are so adorable I am laughing so hard while reading some scenes from the book. It was worth it :)

This is my second foray into the genre that is "new adult". So far, this genre really does nothing for me.
I think Losing It was alright, nothing special, but it was entertaining - though not enough to have me wanting to read the sequels.

Sweet, cute and relaxing book with likeable characters, funny moments and palpable chemistry between the protagonists.
