It's been a while since I've really gotten into a manga and this one is a solid contender! I totally missed this during my manga phase in high school, but I would have been OBSESSED.
There's enough going on to hold my attention (I'd elaborate, but spoilers), and while I don't know how to feel about the romance yet, I can see it going in a direction that I'd be happy with. I definitely connected with this first volume due to how much it reminds me of series I've loved in the past like Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle. It has that classic early 2000's/early 2010's manga art style that I find so beautiful, and has such a depth of emotion that it's hard not to get invested in the characters.

i just cant get over the fact that yona had to have this big crush on suwon when they’re cousins… otherwise this volume isnt bad, i like how it sets up the rest of the story, i just think suwon and yona could’ve had a strong platonic bond like hak and suwon or you could’ve chose not to make them cousins and it wouldve been fine
