I really enjoyed this book. Strong female characters, romance, time travel. It was quirky and fun and cozy. It also brought up interesting questions of the ethics of time travel. Really enjoyed it!

A very interesting and original idea. I enjoyed all the characters, it was nice to read a book with such strong female heroes and the idea of time travelling being part of everyday life was executed very well. My only complaint is that I wish the mystery of the body in the cellar would have been revealed a little later in the book, as I felt this mystery was the essence.

Absolutely loved this book, it was so much easier to follow than I anticipated given the alternating between different times. It felt real & I could imagine the time travel “industry” becoming what was described, the characters are brilliantly written & I quickly felt invested in their stories.
This is yet another example of excellent sci-fi written by women.

This book packs a lot in and follows six female leads (four time travellers, two non), a murder mystery, time travel (plus sciencey details), romance, affairs, family drama, and ultimately the running theme of understanding there’s things we cannot change in the world, like death and illness. So with all this going on for me personally it was perhaps a little overly complicated for such a small book.
That said the foundations are good for a debut novel, it’s orginal, well thought out, well written, and set out pretty clear with chapters representing characters and time zones (which helps), and if you are a fan of semi recently titles like ‘Elizabeth Is Missing’ and ‘The Keeper Of Lost Things’ I think this one is worth your time too, I would say it were similar with a bit more of a bulk behind it.

I'm very unsure about this book. On one hand, it was easy to read having read it in less than a day or so. On the other, I'm not entirely sure what this book does.
It does investigate the potential psychological effects of time travel, and the resulting procedures put in place to potentially deal with any ramifications, but it also deals with families, relationships, fate, judgement in addition to a murder mystery which is predominantly in the background. For me this is it's greatest flaw.
It has a lot of interesting concepts and ideas, most of which aren't addressed because it hops from one idea to the next. What would it mean to have law based on fate? What effect does an individual person have on a company's ethos, environment and relationships? How do you have a relationship with someone who's zipping backwards and forwards in time, particularly when the balance of power is so uneven. These are all things the book starts to engage with and then disappears off onto something else.
