As fox rests in his den he is shocked that his botany book does not include an illustration for the rare golden glow flower. He plans an expedition to find it. It takes him across various ecosystems where he can identify all the trees and flowers. With the help of other animals he reaches the elusive flower and records it for his botany book.

I love that Fox decides to leave the flower in its habitat. I wish more people left nature alone.

A cute, quiet story about a nature-loving Fox who searches for a rare flower to add to his botany collection. On his journey, he gets help from a few forest friends and along the way he encounters different trees, flowers and the different environmental zones in the mountains. The artwork is colorful, with a modern graphic look, the mini nature guides are a nice touch. I really enjoyed this story, it touches on topics of nature, observation and leaving nature untouched.

Thank you Netgalley and Tundra Books for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a review.

This book is a double-whammy: 1 part heartwarming story, 1 part environmental biology lesson.... & I loved it! On the surface, the story follows Fox as he searches for a rare flower not pictured in his botany book. After consulting with other forest friends and heading on a big journey, Fox finds what he has been looking for. Rather than taking the flower home with him, Fox leaves the Golden Glow flower in its natural habitat to preserve its beauty and life. Meanwhile, throughout the story, readers are given spreads of easily accessible learning material that shares facts about altitude, parts of a flower, and camping essentials. Finally, the artwork is uniquely bright and engaging and uses warm hues that draw on the 'Golden Glow.'

A beautifully illustrated book that explores the botanical world that a fox encounters on his adventures to find the rarest plant in the world. Reminiscent of Richard Scarry, items that fox encounters are cataloged through the illustrations. A great book for children who love the out doors and who appreciate looking a busy illustrations.

Les illustrations sont sublimes, et comme les enfants et moi sommes dans une grosse phase de nature journaling, ce livre ne pouvait pas tomber plus dans nos cordes. Gros coup de coeur.

The Golden Glow is a very good allegory for leave no trace. This picture book was a cute and fun read. Fox goes on a camping trip to find and collect a flower that he doesn’t even have a picture of. His friends help him along the way. When he finally discovers the flower he has to make a decision whether to collect the flower or leave it. The illustrations that accompany the story are absolutely beautiful. The colors are bright and the geometricity of the characters and scenery are very appealing. The Golden Glow is a great story for any little (or even big) outdoors person in your life.

Fox loves nature. He is startled to learn that there is a flower he has never seen. He sets off in search of it.

Along the way, Fox shares a little of his knowledge about trees and flowers and mountain zones and even plant parts.

It's a lovely little story.

Fox goes in search of a flower with no picture in his botany book. He has to go to the mountains and climb all the way to the top to discover his treasure. The story is nice, but the illustrations are amazing. I would hang almost any of them on my wall as art. The Goat reading a book on the rock is my favorite, but the others are just as spectacular. Plus i love the little extras that were put in. Such as altitude levels as you climb the mountain, and parts of a flower. Wonderfully done.

Interesting book. It contains botany lessons and scientific facts in a light introductory way. The artwork has an amazing sense of light in it.
