These stories aren’t the same since MC Beaton died and the other guy took over but this one was pretty good, if a little forced.

I listened to the audio book. It was an easy read. I should have noticed it was a series and not the first book. Maybe that would have made it better.

This was a fun little mystery, If you like Agatha Raisin (the show) you will know a bit what you are in for. It's a cozy with an ad exec turned detective, and it's a fun little romp.

I recommend it to fans of more middle aged cozy detectives, though it's for the ones looking for a lady with a more single lifestyle.

Thank you for the ARC!

I appreciate that R.W. Green is continuing these mysteries after M.C. Beaton's death because they are fun and fast to read. This book had more than one mystery to it, and the historical mystery was an interesting side story. I miss some of the village drama that was central to the earlier mysteries in this series, and I must say that I like Agatha less and less with each passing book.
I would recommend this to readers of cozy mysteries.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC!
