good, ended weird but I guess that's why it has 3 books
THIS BOOK IS AMAZING. (*spoiler alert*)
I literally didn't have high expectations cause I didn't really get gripped by the first book, but God knows what happened cause I fell in love with this one.
I fell deeper in love, more like it.
I liked the first book, but I'm lovin' the second.
The characters developments are truly thrilling.
Mumpo, Kestrel, Bowman, Pinto - oh my God, Pinpin has grown so much! >_< I mean what can I expect this is 5 years after the Wind Singer was restored but still.
Like Pinpin was the sweetest baby but you'll be really surprised with her 7-year-old self. I truly was.
The changes of Aramanth were introduced clearly, and the immediate storyline can easily grip the reader. The way William gripped me, I think is because of how he (SPOILER) changed the positions of the characters. I believed Kestrel Hath was the leader but in this book, I started to doubt myself.
He also split the characters, physically and their personalities.
The introduction of the new characters was also pretty amazing.
Like Ortiz, Master, Sisi, Zohon, Barzan.
Ira Manth's development as a prophetess also makes me wonder how the next book will dictate her destiny, her dreams can be subtle but very well informative of the future.
I'm super excited about the next book that I'm going to read which is the next and last of the trilogy - Firesong.

I definitely preferred the second book to the first. It was just so much more exciting; introducing new and fantastic characters plus new destinations in Nicholson’s world which have the most beautiful settings.
It is a horrific story in places where it is written realistically but this only made me want to read on.
I thought this was a wonderful sequel to The Wind Singer as it focused on a wider amount of characters who were written in with no holes to their characterisations.
Absolutely brilliant!

I love the little sneaks of humour that are hidden in this book. As well as all the adventure and mysterious characters. I love this series and I guess since I read the first book last year, I forgot how awesome it was. Bu am so finishing this series as soon as possible because am desperate to know the ending. I love how the author links all the journeys that the characters lives are on. I found the marriage concept very intriguing, I must say that the chapters where Sisi and Kess were alone were by far my favourite. This has got to be one of my favourite reads this year. Woooooo.
