This was a cute book by a new to me author. I loved the idea of the notes and how they met. It was definitely a fun read.

I received an advanced copy and voluntarily gave my honest review.

This is a great premise. At first, Declan, decides to write Brett a note because his dog has woken him up. He works nights and the dog barking in the early morning makes him angry. Brett is going through a bad breakup with a man who wasn't a great person to begin with and he's taking care of his ex's dog until he can pick him up.

When the two start talking and learn more about each other, it's easy to see how quickly they grow close. I like how they work through the issues from their past and stick together. A sweet story!

Jess Bryant totally knocks it out of the park with The D- in 403B! It's one of the sweetest, sexiest MM stories I've read in a while.

It all starts with Declan, a grumpy artist, leaving a not so nice note for Brett, the sexy vet, regarding the barking that is constantly coming from his apartment. I loved reading Declan & Brett's flirty banter via notes taped to each other's doors and the way the notes not only evolved, but helped mold their relationship from the very first exchange.

**ARC in exchange for an honest review**

PS - If you're a fan of Jess's other MM books, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the quick cameo from another one of her books! =)

This book was adorable. The meet cute was just perfect. I really liked the brother/sister relationship between Dec and Star and how easily Brett accepted them both. There was definitely a bit of a slow build up but once Brett and Dec got together the chemistry was explosive! This book was a little heavy on the personal issues but I think they were handled excellently and I love the way this relationship unfolded. Did it happen quickly? Yes but when you know, you know. This book contains a grumpy D, a sexy vet, an annoying little sister, cute dogs, and a guaranteed HEA.

2.5 stars. I was willing to overlook the speed with which they went from anger to flirting to being involved, because they were cute together, but the way Brett handled the dog issue, not once, but twice, and especially in light of Declan's past both with dogs and his attachment issues, turned me off their romance completely. The way Declan tried to solve the problem was admirable, but by then I wasn't convinced Brett was truly good for him anymore. I did like Declan's relationship with Star.
