What an incredible read. The structure of this book is brilliant! The reader gets a glimpse and tease of the swimmer being murdered (not a spoiler - it's in the blurb on the back cover) at the very beginning. Then, the book is divided into different timelines. For most of the book, the chapters are mostly "before the hit and run" - where we get insight into our main characters and their lives leading up to the swimmer's murder - with the occasional "It's Criminal- The Chloe Cooper Story" chapter sprinkled in - chapters that slowly reveal information via interviews from a true crime show. The combination creates so much suspense and suspicion that it's nearly impossible to put down. The twists and turns in this book are riveting. One had my jaw hitting the floor and my mind reeling. The main characters are all flawed in their own ways- creating a level of mistrust for them all in the reader. This book had me engrossed from start to finish. I've already recommended it to people I know - before I even finished it, actually. Definitely recommend!!

This thriller was a wild ride with the lives of three characters Chloe, Adam, and Jemma changing as they get entangled in each other’s games. This was eerily similar to a Netflix movie I watched this year “Loving Adults” with some of the plot twists being the exact same to a T so that was disappointing for my reading experience. Other than that though this was an amazing read I just can’t give this story its tens because I knew what was going to happen at very important parts.
