Excuse me while I pick up my jaw from the floor. This book was so cleverly written and full of juicy secrets you just can’t wait to uncover. I do think it starts off a little slow but once things get a little ✨spicy✨ the pace keeps up until the end. I love a book with characters you love to hate and this one has a few.. I won’t say anymore and give anything away. I loved everything about it and it’s been a while since a book has engrossed me like this one did. Highly recommend if you haven’t read it yet!

The Swimmer is a gripping and suspenseful domestic thriller, great for anyone looking for a twisty and compelling read.
The premise of a hit and run targeting a vulnerable swimmer is truly chilling, and sets off a series of complex and dark events that kept me glued to the page. White does a masterful job of creating a strong sense of atmosphere, and characters with depth and nuance making it hard to know who to trust, and what’s lurking around the corner.
Thank you Montlake for a copy of this book. Opinions expressed are my own.

‘The Swimmer’ is what I consider a classic Loreth Anne White novel. You know when you start one of her books that you are going to get a tightly written, complex character driven story that sits with you well after the book is complete.
I won’t rehash the plot of this book as there are many other reviews with the plot outline already, but I did like the reappearance of true crime podcasters Trinity Scott and Gio Rossi, who also feature in Loreth Anne White’s excellent novel ‘Beneath Devil’s Bridge’.
Like her previous few novels, ‘The Swimmer’ has chapters from multiple characters points of view, which leads more depth to the final gut punch plot twist. One minute you’re minding your own business, enjoying a great read and thinking you know where the story is going and then wham! A plot twist you didn’t see coming knocks you sideways.
‘The Swimmer’ is an exceptional psychological thriller that I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend to everyone who wants a page turner to keep them up all night.

While this mystery started off good for me I lost speed and curiosity after the halfway mark. Maybe because this was more a domestic thriller, which isn't my cup of tea normally. An okay read for me, but I've liked others of hers much more like devils bridge and the patient's secret.

4.5 ⭐️ This was such a fun and entertaining psychological thriller. This was an absolute page turner. I couldn’t put it down! It was fast paced from the start and didn’t let up. Killer twists that were unguessable which I love.

Chloe becomes infatuated with her new neighbors in their big newly constructed glass house and finds herself watching them. Dr. Adam Spengler and his influencer wife Jemma Spengler are everything Chloe isn’t. Glamorous, rich, adored. There’s more to the perfect couple that meets the eye and Chloe finds herself tangled in the middle. The story is told through the POV of podcast interviews retelling what happened and the POV of Jemma, Adam, Chloe at the time it was all happening.
I love Loreth Anne White. Her writing style really sucks you in and the stories are great. I enjoyed this one just as much as others I have read by her.
