Finally!775 pages of political satire proves at times difficult to navigate. This book uncovers and retells American history since apes roamed the land. It is an amazing feat, and at times a moving portrayal. The sheer cast of characters bouncing around time and place make for an often dizzying and confusing plot, but glad I stuck with it. Like a lot of other reviewers, I agree it would have been better even half the length, but Kramer has produced a radical alternate history that should be seen.
