I still love this story but I am looking forward to finishing the series (again) and then hitting the Lexicon Urthus to better understand the bits that require more understanding.

Uhm, ok. I still like the way Wolfe writes, but I lost all interest in the story in this one, to the point that it was quite hard to get to the end. The end actually reignited my interest in the world, but not nearly enough to make me want to read the next book. Too bad.

Riveting, dream-like and surreal. As with the first book, an unreliable, morally ambiguous narrator regales us with the continuing story of his exploits.
I recommend, but some parts are too fucked up even for me.
