Ahhhhhhhh this was so good! I ate this up like I had been starving for weeks!!!
💛💛💛 The book goes back and forth between the present and past to clue us in on Isla's past.

Don't judge me, I read this book in one single day. It was my last day of break!!
That being said, this book was such a fun read. I have never been more conflicted over a love triangle in my entire life. I love both Oro and Grim, and was team Grim in Lightlark and team Oro for the ENTIRETY of this book until the last like 10 pages. That ending had me screaming.
Also, I'm not typically a fan of flashing back and forth between past and present, but I really enjoyed the way it was done in this book.
All that to say, is the writing amazing? Is the plot amazing? Are the characters amazing? Overall I would say no. All of the elements of an amazing book are there, but not quite elevated enough.
All that to say, if you want an intriguing, plot twist filled book/series, I would recommend! There's a certain factor of nostalgia for me in this book. It makes me feel like I'm in middle school reading through the night under by blankets with a light.
I don't know if there's any info about when the next book will be released, but I'm going to need it to be SOON.

I can’t continue the series just because I want to see more of Isla and Grim. The world-building and the plot do not interest me that much to keep on, tbh:/
