I absolutely loved Nightbane! This book had me hooked from start to finish—I could not put it down. The way Alex Aster wove in "flashbacks" added so much depth to the story, making it even more captivating. Seeing all the relationships unfold, piece by piece, kept me fully invested, and the twists along the way made for an incredible read. If you loved Lightlark, this sequel will blow you away! I cannot wait to see where this story goes next.
Okay, I’m pissed.
For starters I teared up when Lynx chose her especially with it being her moms. This book has so many twists to it I was literally jaw slacked so many times. Ultimately My Oro, my sweet Oro loved her so much why couldn’t they just have each other.
As much as I hate Grim I am also kinda of rooting for him at the same time. We will see where this goes after everything I still can believe they’re married and she would’ve killed him if it weren’t for that. If only her memories weren’t wiped, no words. The ending had me gasping.

i couldn’t even finish this. i only marked it as read for a refund of my time because how did this get approved.
the first was good. the first was fine. the first was quite frankly, enough.
the plot of this one had me ripping the pages out in frustration of how slow it moved.
it was cut copy and paste every other fantasy book on the planet. someone should sue.
to be honest, i was excited for this. but good god i couldn’t even get halfway through.
and i tried. like 3 different times i tried.
the characters lacked any type of development, the setting was bland and complicated to the point of no comprehension, the plot points were askew and nothing connected.
isla is the type of girl to be friends with boys because “they’re less drama” and change her voice when men are around.
nothing against the author but please.
to each their own but i’m so glad i don’t ever have to pick this up again.

My least favorite out of the three in the series thus far. There was a lot of pluses in this book however there is a good 40% of the book that felt like filler. If you’re an Oro girly, you’ll love most of this book and for that reason, it gets 3 stars. However it was a lot of lead up for about 50 pages at the end.
