The less you know about this legal mystery before reading, the better. There are two mysteries in this novel, told in dual timelines. We see how the jury came to their verdict on the original case and investigations on the current day case. This is an extremely well-crafted mystery, with twists and turns until a satisfying ending. A real page turner. 

Many of the reviews mention that they didn’t empathize with the characters. I don’t think you were meant to because it made you suspicious of everyone.
