Sadly, not nearly as good as his previous anthologies. Some stories were a struggle to get through!

The biggest sin here isn’t the poor plotting the thin characters or the uninspired writing. It’s how forgettable the stories are here. The one thing that King does best is memorable hooks and premises. All of these resemble the weakest episodes of the twilight zone
There were some highlights, but this was probably my least enjoyed collection of short Stephen King stories.
I think I set a world record slowrun of this book. Took me 6-7 years but I finally read all the stories in this collection

i think this is his best short story collection since Night Shift

"God's grace is a pretty cool concept. It stays intact every time it's not you."
One of the things I love about SK's short story collections is that you get such a wide variety of stories. Some have the horror/gore factor, and some are just different ways to view humanity and human nature that challenge you to think. SK has range and it doesn't matter the topic, he can write a damn good story. I also really like when he includes his inspirations for stories, because they're so mundane and everyday occurrences that he turns into these amazing stories.
As always with his short story collections, there are some that I enjoy more than others, but still have a damn good time reading them all.
