I'm not normally a short story person, but King pumps so much detail into every sentence that a short story seems like a short novel. Lots of good reads here.
Another good set of short stories, while somewhat inconsistent.
Merged review:
It's OK. A bit of a mind trip, but nothing too wild.

An fun set of stories from Mr King, as always. I wish he didn't do forewords to each story, though; sometimes he gave up more information than I'd have liked - afterwords would be better, IMHO.
dark
mysterious
tense
slow-paced
Oh, Stephen King. I don't know how I feel about this collection. There are some stories that are absolutely what you expect. There are some, however, that are goddamn haunting. "Morality" is the most striking story from this collection, so if you've read it, you can probably skip this. Nothing else dug so deep, except maybe "The Little Green God is Agony."
There aren't any bad stories here. Familiar, sure. If you're a King fan, you'll certainly be familiar. Still, it's better than a disappointment. Just keep that in mind if you don't like a certain story, and you'll be fine.

while I LOVE reading a big, involved novel, it is nice to read short stories especially during the holiday season when time to sit and read is difficult to find. I enjoyed most of these stories, some are new but some are reworked and updated-well worth reading for any constant reader, or for someone who wants to see what Stephen King is all about.
All the stories were great, but Summer Thunder was incredible. "A little bit of grace. That's what a good dog is, you know."
Couple of really good stories in here but not up to Skeleton Crew or Night Shift level where everything just sucked me in.
I give up but I'm counting it as read for wasting my time. Some of the stories were ok that I read but I'm bored and I have so many better things to read. Screw this book.
I'm a huge Stephen King fan, and a huge short story fan. This book should've been perfect for me, like his previous collections. But it just...wasn't. Maybe that's because many of the stories had already been published, or because the ones that hadn't just weren't that great. Anyway, disappointing.
