King's best story collection since Nightmares & Dreamscapes. "Batman and Robin Have an Altercation" and "The Little Green God of Agony" were my favorites of the bunch, but there are altogether no duds, which is surprising for a collection this size. The story "Bad Little Kid" is scary as hell.

Stephen King is always my go-to, and I’m still only about 60% of the way through everything. Short Stories are maybe the thing he does best….? Don’t know. I just love him.

This book shows why Stephen King is not only the greatest horror novelist of al time, but one of the greatest authors and storytellers. A great mix of horror and non horror stories that will get you sucked in each time. I really liked the forwards for each tale as he describes where and how the story came to be. King’s horror works for me as it plays on real life emotion and attachments. Even in these short stories you have a true feel for the characters and what they are going through.

My favorite story on this book is “Afetrlife”. In my opinion, a very Twilight Zone type of tale.

A very smooth and easy read
