I've never been a huge fan of short stories, but this is Stephen King. I love his work, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I love how he does these little passages before each story. It's just a cool way to get to know him better. My favorite story has to be "Ur". All I could think of was getting my hands on even more King books! The way Mr. King's mind works is just amazing to me. Encompassed in one book are stories with monsters (both human and non), a poem, and a story of two people facing the end of the world (plus many other stories). He is a true genius, and you will not be disappointed when you decide to read this book.

Wow! He truly is the king of horror! What a great anthology, and a great title too. I loved his introduction to the book, as well as the introduction to each of the stories. Some of the stories I liked better than others, and some of them really left a mark on me! I’m sure I’ll be thinking about these stories for awhile, fueling some bad dreams and some lines of thought that I’d like to not have! I’m glad I picked this one up and stuck it out to the end.
