I enjoyed reading this book. I liked the STEM and university settings. The characters were good, I liked the relationships between characters, the writing style was engaging, and the plot was cute.

This was the first Ali Hazelwood book I read and I eager to read more.

i was this close to rating this higher solely for the reading experience but the last few chapters were way too frustrating. in the first place i couldn't buy jack as a character. he feels like a mary sue but with a few added issues to progress the plot. i also personally don't like romance stories where one side always knows the best for the other character to the point that they appear like a teacher-caretaker.

Thoroughly enjoyed, maybe the funniest / most witty book by Ali Hazelwood I’ve read so far which was really fun. Sad at times and makes you reflect on people pleasing and eldest daughter roles in a family. Great STEM rep and informative without being too much. The tension and slow build up of their relationship was good & I loved Jack overall as the MMC. Slightly disappointed by the ending but overall enjoyed the book.

I'm more of an fantasy girl. And when I read romance I don't typically give it 5 stars, but i gave it to this one! This book made me giggle, think, scream and tear up. It had every emotion i need and expect in a good romance. The beginning was a little slow for me but the rest was sooo entertaining! Its my first book read by this author and definitely will not be last. The characters are written so amazingly that i wanted to be friends with almost every single one (BUT MOSTLY CECE). I appreciated the humor and the couple of emails put in the middle of the chapter that made it unique. I don't understand physics and I probably never will, but this book made me think i was so smart lol. Reading about women in STEM is so inspiring even tho im not in the field and it was definitely the best choice for the first book of 2024.
