BLOWN AWAY!

⭐️ 4.5

This book was great as well, it was a bit more boring than the first one. Ella should’ve forgiven Reed alot sooner than she did but it’s allright

It's 3am on a Friday night and and obviously I read this in one sitting instead of doing anything else. It didn't tear out my soul as much as the first one and I was warned of a double cliffhanger so I'm not that surprised. However, this series has sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much crazy drama. It's super days of our lives and it's kind of ridiculous. So now I just find it funny. The absurdity of it all.

Oh mein Gott.. 2 Cliffhanger?! Ich bin so auf Band 3 gespannt.

2019 Re-Read.

i dropped my original, generous rating of five stars to three because - yikes. the royals are truly fucked up, yes, but someone else's review said it best: this plot is hardly fitting of high schoolers at all. it's truly over the top and definitely only falls into young adult simply because its characters are, in fact, young adults. das it.

Original 2017 Read.
This series is seriously something that must be devoured at once. I was so livid at the end of Paper Princess that I quickly picked up the following two and now that I've finished book #2, I'm diving straight into Twisted Palace.

What a gloriously fucked up family the Royals are. The drama is a bit over the top sometimes, but no one ever said entertaining had to be realistic. Reed doesn't piss me off nearly as much as he did the first time around because as the person who recommended this to me said: "oh, there's someone worse."

Understatement of the millennium, ladies and gents.

I think I may have been a little too hard on PP and it's outrageous-ness. I can't tell you that last time I sat down and read multiple books in a series in a day. The team that makes up Erin Watt does a fantastic job of making it impossible to put it down. Or maybe it's because I'm thirsty for this nonsense.

See you on the other side of Twisted Palace.

That ending!!

Holy cow! I'm so glad the final book is already out, I have to find out what happens! Just when you think things are calming down at the Royals' hose, THREE major events happen! Love books that keep me on my toes!!

My reread of this series is still going well! So much drama and my love for these characters continue to grow.

Reading about Reed trying to win Ella back was one the best parts for me. He knows he messed up and him chasing her was everything I wanted.

“I’m done playing games, Ella. No other girls exist in the world for me. If you see me talking to one, know that I’m talking about you. If you see me walking next to someone, I’m wishing it was you … You’re the only one for me.”

I will say though, that the back and forth between them stretched on for quite a while. I get making him grovel, don’t get me wrong! It’s just that you kind of wished that Ella would just forgive him already. Especially when she knows that he’s telling her the truth.

As this series goes on, the more drama unfolds and the more messed up you realize the Royal family is. We get more twists and secrets and I seriously couldn’t help flipping my pages so fast like a crazy person. We are left with a hell of a cliffhanger and I already grabbed Twisted Palace from my bookshelf.

The first book ended with a cliffhanger and this book started off right it ended. Ella has left the Royals including everything they have given her and her heart. While she is gone, the ROYALS implode upon themselves and even the school rebels against them where they have always been the top of the pecking order. Callum finds Ella drags her back with blackmail. She has declared war on the Royals and gives all of the cold shoulder. There are quite a few over the top moments, but when Ella has had it with the queen bully and puts her in her place it was the right moment even if not the right thing to do.

Won't say much more without spoiling the books, just make sure you have all three so you can read them back to back. This book ends with a HUGE cliffhanger.

Broken Prince by Erin Watt is the second book in the Royals series. Ella is gone and the Royals can't cope without her. The tension in the house is high and the brotherly relationships are definitely strained.

I did really enjoy my time with this one. It was so much fun and just as addictive as the first one. I read it in a day, just like the first one.

The characters in this book were just as fucked up and fun as the first time we met them all. The more I read about all of these Royals, the more I love them. Reed is still my favourite and he always will be. Ella is still just as strong and you will love her too.

The ending of this was so mental. It was such a cliffhanger and I was so excited to see how it would play out. Again, I am writing this review having already read the next book in the series so I know how everything plays out. Trust me, you will want to keep reading. It is just so good.

Sorry for the short review, I really loved this book and this series as a whole and they are just such quick reads and that's why the reviews are so short. I usually take notes so I can make my reviews longer but I was just so invested that I didn't want to take the time out of reading.

Excellent sequel. I liked the changing of perspective back and forth from Reed to Ella. It's always nice to know the point of view of more than one character. Some of the questions that I had after the first book were answered so I feel like I know more about the Royals now. I loved that Ella found her backbone and stopped letting others control things around her. I love that she stopped letting the Royals self-destruct. I'm sad that this cliffhanger won't have another book in the series until October.
