This series is a true hidden gem. And in true Katee Robert fashion, it is spicy as hell. I binged this entire series and they're all amazing. Even though these are all standalones and each book follows a different couple, I highly reading them in order.

Book Two: Fool Me Twice sort of takes place in the small town of Devil's Falls and I say sort of because the two main characters end up on a road trip with each other. Aubry is a huge gamer and is so successful she gets the opportunity of a lifetime to attend a convention and play the latest game. The only issue is Aubry has really bad social anxiety (don't we all). Not wanting to pass the opportunity up, she agrees to let Quinn accompany her even though the two hate one another.

Quinn moved away from his rich and powerful family to live a quieter life, but when his little sister is set to get married, he needs a date. But Aubry and Quinn make a mutual arrangement, they will be each others "dates."

Since Quinn's family will be able to sniff out their fake arrangement, it's important that they practice. *wink wink*

Nickname: Peaches (Alexa, play Peaches by Jack Black)

Favorite Steamy Scene: Before their first official hook up, the tension is hot, Aubry goes to take the edge off when Quinn walks in.. OMG!!

I really love how Quinn was able to help Aubry through her anxiety attacks.. makes my eyes water!!

Aubrey is an anti-social, grumpy gamer who needs someone to be her support at a huge gaming convention she's been invited to attend. She just needs someone to keep her calm around such a big crowd.

Quinn is a strong and sexy cowboy who just wants his family to realize that he's not going to be joining the family business and for his dad to stop setting him up with brainless bimbos. Going home for his sister's wedding is not going to be fun. If only he could find someone who could keep his parents off his back while he's home for the wedding.

Quinn and Aubry can't stand to be around each other, so naturally their friends convince them that they can help each other out.

I love a good rivals to lovers story. A story built on what seems like hate but really is just a LOT of underlying sexual tension. Quinn and Aubry had that hate in spades.

What starts as one long argument and a lot of stubbornness as they each fulfill their end of the agreement quickly turns to understanding, sweetness and whole lot of sexy. The banter between them was hilarious and their chemistry was off the charts. The slow build-up to their HEA was perfection.

This story was simple, sexy and sweet and everything I love of Katee Robert's writing. I can't believe I haven't read the first book in this series but it's definitely moving up on my TBR.

Fool Me Once is an enemies to lovers story with snarky banter that had me snickering. It is also sweet especially the end. Has a grumpy heroine that I didn't think I'd enjoy so much but I totally did, I absolutely loved Aubry. She was such an awesome heroine flaws and all. I absolutely adored the hero too. I love a hero who's a bear of a man, who towers over the heroine and has Neanderthal like qualities. Quinn fit this bill to a T and to top it off he was sweet too *swoon* There was definitely a lot of swooning going on while it read this book.

I truly enjoyed this quick read and would definitely recommend it to not only to lovers of the enemies to lovers trope but everyone.

I didn't think I was going to enjoy this book but I really did! Don't let the first book discourage you, Aubry is actually pretty cool in this one.

Also, Quinn *heart eyes* - he was great. I can't say I'm excited for the third book, based on the hints left in this book but I trust Katee. So I'm going to read it.

In some ways I really really liked this book and in some ways I didn't, but the liking outweighs the annoyance.

I loved the heroine; Aubry is prickly, her anxiety works in a way I find way too relatable, she's a gamer and not just femme-coded games but actual "scythe through the fight on sheer skill" (with nods to how shitty Gamer Dudes On The Internet are), and okay admittedly I see some of myself in her and that's fine because I'm good with that.

I found the sex scenes really hot, and the tension between the two of them and the obstacles to their happy ever after to be really believable and not reliant on either them both getting hit with the stupid stick or a complete failure to have a conversation. I also really appreciated the way each of them faced up to their bullshit in the resolution.

My main problem was Quinn. He's fine, I guess? But where Aubry felt intensely real and relatable, he felt kind of like "generic attractive dude who is mildly patronizing to get a rise out of her." Admittedly, the shitty patronizing stuff is clearly him needling her, but I also wasn't that into it. I did like his kindness and his efforts to focus on what was making her anxious and handle it effectively. I just feel like he could've been more interesting, but I'll forgive it because Aubry was so damn rad.

Cute and Spicy!

Loved Quinn and Aubry. I feel like this was a really effective use of the miscommunication trope, and I really enjoy how it gets right in to the spice, while still leaving room for plot development. Also, love to see representation for those of us with anxiety disorders! This is so much more common that society leads us to believe, and it can be really debilitating.
