Although at first I found it a bit cheesy, the dialogue between the two leads quickly became hilarious and their chemistry was just so palpable it was really fun to read. A lot of their banter made me laugh out loud. The story itself is quite fun, having the heroine making a tangle of all of her relationships: friendship, love, family. It also has a lesson for her at the end. Both characters were very real and that is always fun to read. Maybe the ending was a little bit rushed and just too clean--it would have been better if everything was not tied up so perfectly. But since that is sort of expected in this kind of romance novels at least I was not surprised by that. Anyone who enjoys light romance novels will probably have a laugh with this one.

Things aren't brilliant for me, so I'm indulging myself with yet another airplane read and one that I initially thought would be rather cheesy. I got it free by way of Amazon, and the blurb kinda appealed in a 'I don't have to think hard while I read this' sort of way. Turns out that it was well written, some of it was clever, and some of the twists near the end were unexpected.

Gertie, the maternal figure in the novel says "We're all just bumping around together on this planet, trying to do the best we can for ourselves and each other. But there's only so much we can control". One of the best quotes about life that I've heard for a while.

This ain't Chaucer, but it's also not rubbish. A good fun easy read.

2.5 stars I read two Tawna Fenske rom coms in a row. Maybe that was a mistake? I liked the first one, but I’m worried that Fenske might be a formulaic writer. There are definitely enjoyable laugh-out-loud moments, but overall this book felt very similar to the previous book I read by the author. Of course, one could argue this is a good thing at times. When you need to escape the real world, it’s always nice to know you can count on a certain author to deliver a familiar kind of book.

This book is heavy but in a good way. It still a romantic comedy and I was laughing so hard but there moments where I truly felt like for Jenna. The relationships and the issues happening with them feel real sometimes, like the baggage a lot of us have bleeds over but it doesn’t mean it’s the end of the world. The subject matter is a lot so definitely processed with caution when reading, that being said it’s totally work the read.

I enjoy reading trashy romantic novels on holidays and this didn't disappoint. It even had a twist at the end I didn't see coming!

I didn't like this book for the first couple of chapters, but fortunately I kept reading because it turned out to be cute and fun. This is what I call a light, fluffy book with a pretty predictable ending, but I found it be be enjoyable along the way. Not all books have to be heavy and deep, some are just entertaining.
