Really excellent book about different experiences of queerness and intersectionality, that worked really well as a coming-of-age story as it drove home the message that you don't have to come into the queer community knowing everything, there's always things to learn about yourself and other people's experiences.
They were also gorgeous illustrations in a really cool colour palette that I t ought really gave life to the characters.

This was a great read detailing Juliet’s journey to delving further into her queerness, encountering white feminism and inauthentic allyship, exploring life in a new city, and learning more about herself and what she wants out of a relationship.
The illustrations were also absolutely stunning.
The only thing I wish we got was more development of side characters but otherwise I enjoyed this read and would recommend it.

I love the art style so much, absolutely stunning. I liked this story for what it was but I would've enjoyed to see more of the characters but I give it a 3.5 which is still a good rating. I just didn't like some of the trigger warnings. Tw: cheating, racism, homophobia
Thankyou so much to netgallery for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This graphic novel is everything my tiny QTPOC heart could ever want!!! Juliet's journey through self-discovery is all at once an embodiment of both QTPOC joy and heartache. Her dive into feminism, with a shaky start in White feminism, felt so authentic, showing how not every person with radical view on politics started out perfect. Every BIPOC side character was amazing, and holy heck all of them were so hot! I loved seeing Juliet grow into herself through the supportive relationships of those around her, especially in the third act when she takes a trip to Miami. And most of all, the art style completely blew me away. The lush and gentle shading style reminded me so strongly of an indie film (Wong Kar-Wai anyone?), and I loved the artist's use of color throughout the book. All in all one of my new favorite graphic novels, and I'm so happy I picked this one up!
