Absolutely loved this entire series from start to finish. So much more than magical keys and supernatural horrors.

I enjoyed this novel, it was a little more violent than the others, but there was a great quote in it that I loved: "Darling you are a nerd, and nerds have to be brave. Otherwise you will always be pretending to be something you aren't and that sucks"

Rating for the entire series. A very enjoyable dark(ish) fantasy comic. The first volume hit the ground running and had me hooked. A bunch of kids walking into the end of a story started by their father. Im a sucker for stories where people slowly unravel the secret magics. The villain is twisted and most volumes had me on edge.
It does slow down a bit by the 3rd quarter mark, to the point of feeling like filler, a saturday morning cartoon version of the amazing first volumes. I also feel that the comic fails to explore all the implication of the world it creates and characters act in ways that i feel the text does not move them to act. Regardless, i still loved the dark story of Locke & Key

These are so hard for me to review because they go by so much faster than actual novels...I do enjoy them! Very much!

SPOILERS!

I have loved it! The stoty is wrapped up neatly, no loose ends.

But I am kinda disappointed with the end. Every single main character is alive, they are all happy and together...
I kinda hoped for more "realistic" ending with something little more.

I loved this series. Creative and fun and meaningful.

What an adventure!

Some of my favorite quotes from the whole series:

“Grownups play for advantage instead of just playing.”

“Secrets are the prisons we make for ourselves.”

“I wouldn’t underrate the power of regret. It doesn’t feel good...but it’s hard to learn anything important without it.”
